Influencer, Public Relations, Events As part of a collaboration with paulaschoice, I was asked to post a picture in this super soft tee and talk about a time when I chose courage over comfort. This assignment couldn’t have fallen at a better time in my life as I’ve been dealing with identity theft for the past 5 days or so, been trying to sort through the fact that #deltaairlines broke our stroller in half (literally split right down the middle) on our flight home from Orlando, and the stress of it all has taken a serious toll on my skin causing a terrible breakout all over my face (as depicted above in this photo). So basically I’m choosing courage over comfort by spending over 2 hours on the phone with 3 different credit agencies, 4 different credit card companies, the police department, the federal trade commission and god knows who else trying to get this resolved on my own because no one seems willing to help.
I’m choosing courage over comfort by trying to stay calm and understanding of accidents and remain appreciative of the fact that delta has accepted full responsibility for our broken stroller and is working to get me a new one.
I’m choosing courage over comfort by posting the worlds worst photo of myself, stress acne and all, for the world to see because the truth is that we are all fighting our own battles and there should be more “truth” on social media.
So here it is ladies and gents. A raw, unedited look at someone who is feeling very defeated, very tired and very stressed out. But this too shall pass and in the meantime it’s time to put on my big girl panties, find some benzoyl peroxide stat and deal with it 🤷🏼♀️ .

What’s one time when you chose courage over comfort? For me, being a mother is a great example of choosing COURAGE over COMFORT! It is hard, exhausting, demanding! But I have decided to stand up and help in the work of creation, to lose myself in serving, loving and educating my little kade and chose courage over comfort! paulaschoice #choosethefight #ad
Whenever someone asks me for advice, no matter what it is, it always comes down to stepping out of your comfort zone. And while that’s terrifying 99 percent of the time, it’s always worth it.
When I was 13 I had my gallbladder removed and that was supposed to solve my stomach pain. Long story short, it didn’t. Doctors either made me go through extra surgery just to see what might be the case or just said it was probably stress and would eventually go away.
For a long time I thought, they’re the experts, I wont question them. But sitting in my nutrition class senior year in college - learning about the digestive system it all clicked.
I finally had so many questions to ask the doctors that I knew could lead me in the right direction to be pain free, but it was terrifying to speak up to someone who is the expert.
But i’m so glad that I did - because when I starting bringing my questions to the table, we were able to have more of a conversation and dig deeper to what was going on rather than the standard “it just hurts.” Years later I’m totally pain free and have been able to heal my stomach pain through diet changes and learning to listen to my body better.
I wouldn’t have gotten there if I hadn’t had the guts to bring in questions to the expert.
That’s why I chose to participate in #ChooseTheFight for paulaschoice, because the reminder to choose courage over comfort is what truly betters our lives.

I have always struggled with doubting my self worth. I question my abilities. Feeling less than. Feeling lonely, despite being surrounded by people that love and care about me. I have always lived in fear and anxiety. Expecting the worst, constantly waiting for something bad to happen, fear of losing the people that I love the most. Telling myself that if anything happens to them that I won’t be able to go on. This fear is debilitating.
A few days ago as I was discussing all of this with my best friend she recommended I listen to a podcast she had recently found. I completely resonated with everything they discussed. Particularly these two quotes: “Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.” - Brené Brown “Connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued. When they can give and receive without judgment. - Brené Brown
After listening to these words, then opening the package containing this shirt, I knew it was something I had to share, because honestly I don’t think I would have had the vulnerability to do it otherwise.
I am choosing to fight for inner peace. I encourage any of you that are struggling with inner turmoil, whatever it may be, to continue to fight also, because you are not alone. paulaschoice #ChooseTheFight #ad .

#courageovercomfort This week, paulaschoice asked us to share our fight.
Chloe here! I think my fight has always been about my confidence and just speaking up about how I feel, something I am currently still working on. No matter how I feel, I`m just a person who has a bad habit of bottling up my feelings and this makes me feel at an all time low sometimes . Who would have ever thought I`d share something super personal on the internet? With this day and age, mental health is more important then ever. I think courage is realizing the problems you have and facing them head on to try and fix them. 💞
My turn! It`s Cindy! My fight is on being honest. I think honesty is important in every aspect, from new friends to relationships. I know there are white lies we say to protect feelings from being hurt and all, but I believe sometimes you just got to be honest and let people know how you are feeling. You don`t want others to feel bad, but in return you are the one who has to suffer. Telling others doesn`t always have to be a negative thing, I believe there`s always a way to make it work somehow. You can tell them how you feel if you have an issue with something, and they will realize and know what`s going on so then both of you guys can help each other fix the problem. No one needs to be alone. I`m pretty sure others will gladly bear the weight with you. This way people can improve and grow. If they don`t know what`s going on, nothing will change and nothing will move forward. Speak your mind, politely if you can 🙂 #sponsored #choosethefight
I’ve partnered with paulaschoice to share a story where I chose #courageovercomfort. I spent some time reflecting on this and trying to think of the perfect example to share. I then realized that I don’t have just one example that embodies this mantra because it is something that I have been trying to instill in my life as I maneuver through it. As I have said before, sometimes the best opportunities and moments come from the situations that make you the most uncomfortable. By stepping out of your comfort zone, you’re allowing yourself to experience new things and to grow. So now I’m asking you...what can you do today/tomorrow/this weekend to take that step and choose #courageovercomfort? Let’s get the conversation started....leave me a comment below with your thoughts/ideas! #ChooseTheFight #ad .

I have teamed up with paulaschoice to share my #CourageOverComfort moments and what it means to me. .
My entire life, I have always been so afraid to do or say the wrong thing in case it would trigger a reaction from someone (family, friends or even acquaintance).
.
Recently, I am learning to stand up and be unafraid to show the world who I am, flaws and all, and know that no matter what “they” say, I am enough. I matter. My voice is important. My life, my way! I have learned people always have an opinion especially if you are successful. It definitely takes #courageovercomfort to voice my opinion. #choosethefight #ad #sponsored.

“We can choose courage or we can choose comfort, but we can’t have both. Not at the same time.” — brenebrown | Partnered with paulaschoice to share about what courage over comfort looks like in my life!
➕ I feel like the past 2 years have been full of Courage Over Comfort moments & I’m proud of myself for that. My first day in an al-anon meeting. My first day back in counseling. Attending #MarchForOurLives. Diving into photo full time. Sharing honestly with others — about my pain, my God questions, my hurt feelings, my anxiety. Heck, even deciding to get honest with my self in the first place and finally let the truth rise to the surface & not be afraid to face it. I’m not here to just say, “Oh, hey, I did it, look at me!” but I do know I found lots of inspiration seeing others live courageously, so I’m happy to share pieces of my story & encourage you to keep choosing courage because of the joy, freedom, healing & connection that will come. Courage is the catalyst to so much goodness, so step into the unknown, surrender, embrace uncertainty, break out of boxes, show yourself compassion, own the truth that you are loved just as you are & let that sense of identity & self worth propel you forward.⚡️ When I think of the really big, risky choices for good and for justice being made in the face of major adversity & resistance, my steps seem quite little, but I know they still matter. They felt big to me & maybe sometimes even the big steps feel small depending on where you’re at & if you’ve practiced courage along the way. So whether baby steps or bold ones, let’s be people who choose courage over comfort, again & again, and embrace that wholehearted approach to living that will fill our souls more than comfort ever will.

What`s your story? #ad
Anyone have Girl Goals? 🤷♀️OK, so to show the world a more confident me, I am mindful of not saying “just” (ex: Sorry to bother, I JUST wanted to blah, blah, blah…). Here’s the thing; whyyyyy do girls do that? I am not being rude if I ask a direct question without buffers. 👊🏻Why does that feel courageous? Ladies, let’s pinky swear to be courageous by being confident without disclaimers.✔️ Have you changed any behaviors to be more courageous?

Next Up, Products
With the ethos of Paula’s Choice firmly established, we needed to get the word out about the incredible products. We chose the launch of Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex line as our starting point and conceptualized and produced a pop up shop for magazine editors, online editors and both macro and micro beauty influencers based in the New York area. Building off the lightweight and airy consistency of the products, we built a space staged with clouds against a sky backdrop, with multiple activations for photo and video. 175 people attended the event, which we followed up with a mailer to an additional 150 people across the country. The creative campaign results in more than 400 pieces of content reaching 32.7 million followers.
