Influencer, Public Relations, Events I’ve partnered with paulaschoice to share a story where I chose #courageovercomfort. I spent some time reflecting on this and trying to think of the perfect example to share. I then realized that I don’t have just one example that embodies this mantra because it is something that I have been trying to instill in my life as I maneuver through it. As I have said before, sometimes the best opportunities and moments come from the situations that make you the most uncomfortable. By stepping out of your comfort zone, you’re allowing yourself to experience new things and to grow. So now I’m asking you...what can you do today/tomorrow/this weekend to take that step and choose #courageovercomfort? Let’s get the conversation started....leave me a comment below with your thoughts/ideas! #ChooseTheFight #ad .

As part of a collaboration with paulaschoice, I was asked to post a picture in this super soft tee and talk about a time when I chose courage over comfort. This assignment couldn’t have fallen at a better time in my life as I’ve been dealing with identity theft for the past 5 days or so, been trying to sort through the fact that #deltaairlines broke our stroller in half (literally split right down the middle) on our flight home from Orlando, and the stress of it all has taken a serious toll on my skin causing a terrible breakout all over my face (as depicted above in this photo). So basically I’m choosing courage over comfort by spending over 2 hours on the phone with 3 different credit agencies, 4 different credit card companies, the police department, the federal trade commission and god knows who else trying to get this resolved on my own because no one seems willing to help.
I’m choosing courage over comfort by trying to stay calm and understanding of accidents and remain appreciative of the fact that delta has accepted full responsibility for our broken stroller and is working to get me a new one.
I’m choosing courage over comfort by posting the worlds worst photo of myself, stress acne and all, for the world to see because the truth is that we are all fighting our own battles and there should be more “truth” on social media.
So here it is ladies and gents. A raw, unedited look at someone who is feeling very defeated, very tired and very stressed out. But this too shall pass and in the meantime it’s time to put on my big girl panties, find some benzoyl peroxide stat and deal with it 🤷🏼♀️ .

I have always struggled with doubting my self worth. I question my abilities. Feeling less than. Feeling lonely, despite being surrounded by people that love and care about me. I have always lived in fear and anxiety. Expecting the worst, constantly waiting for something bad to happen, fear of losing the people that I love the most. Telling myself that if anything happens to them that I won’t be able to go on. This fear is debilitating.
A few days ago as I was discussing all of this with my best friend she recommended I listen to a podcast she had recently found. I completely resonated with everything they discussed. Particularly these two quotes: “Integrity is choosing courage over comfort; choosing what is right over what is fun, fast, or easy; and choosing to practice our values rather than simply professing them.” - Brené Brown “Connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued. When they can give and receive without judgment. - Brené Brown
After listening to these words, then opening the package containing this shirt, I knew it was something I had to share, because honestly I don’t think I would have had the vulnerability to do it otherwise.
I am choosing to fight for inner peace. I encourage any of you that are struggling with inner turmoil, whatever it may be, to continue to fight also, because you are not alone. paulaschoice #ChooseTheFight #ad .

#courageovercomfort This week, paulaschoice asked us to share our fight.
Chloe here! I think my fight has always been about my confidence and just speaking up about how I feel, something I am currently still working on. No matter how I feel, I`m just a person who has a bad habit of bottling up my feelings and this makes me feel at an all time low sometimes . Who would have ever thought I`d share something super personal on the internet? With this day and age, mental health is more important then ever. I think courage is realizing the problems you have and facing them head on to try and fix them. 💞
My turn! It`s Cindy! My fight is on being honest. I think honesty is important in every aspect, from new friends to relationships. I know there are white lies we say to protect feelings from being hurt and all, but I believe sometimes you just got to be honest and let people know how you are feeling. You don`t want others to feel bad, but in return you are the one who has to suffer. Telling others doesn`t always have to be a negative thing, I believe there`s always a way to make it work somehow. You can tell them how you feel if you have an issue with something, and they will realize and know what`s going on so then both of you guys can help each other fix the problem. No one needs to be alone. I`m pretty sure others will gladly bear the weight with you. This way people can improve and grow. If they don`t know what`s going on, nothing will change and nothing will move forward. Speak your mind, politely if you can 🙂 #sponsored #choosethefight
Courage > Comfort 💪🏼 paulaschoice asked me to share my #ChooseTheFight story, so here it is...

My #GoodFight revolves around redefining how we, as women, view #beauty. If my past experiences in the beauty industry have taught me anything, it’s that physical appearance has nothing to do with your actual worth. I used to place so much value in the way that I looked, but no matter what I did or what kind of validation people gave me it was never enough. •
Let’s quit telling girls they’re pretty, and instead tell them they are intelligent. They are kind, compassionate, and vibrant. Let’s teach them to walk in Truth with the Lord and to be full of JOY. Let’s model healthy relationships built on mutual respect, and let’s empower each other instead of competing with each other. Let’s teach them that it is so much more important to live a life that’s beautiful than to look beautiful. ❤️

Keep on choosing the path that’s worth fighting for. #ad #paulaschoice
When I was first starting out in photography I assisted on many photoshoots where they models were really new, young and sometimes a bit scared. In the midst of everything I saw that too often the photographer and team would talk about them as if they weren`t there, as if they were a prop. I guess that`s easy to do when you have a high volume of work and you see so many faces in a day but it`s dehumanizing.
Because of that I`ve always made an effort to speak to my models and team members in a personal and respectful manner. These are people that you are working with and you have duty to put out courage and strength in your industry. You have control over the way you approach your work and how you want people to see you.

This is me right now. Tired, and yet choosing everyday of the last 14 years to stand up for all children who deserve a great education. To help close the achievement gap in urban education and change history. 👊🏽 Who else knows teachers who return 3 weeks before school starts to make sure they are the utmost prepared to give their students the BEST education possible? I do. And for that I always #choosethefight and do what is right. ❤️ And guess what? Now I teach alongside many of former students who have returned to teach and #givebacktoothers 🙌🏽 #backtoschool #mystory #returntoreality #sponsored

COURAGE OVER COMFORT - the way we break out of our norm and put ourselves in a situation that may be a little less comfortable but makes a lot of impact ❤️ paulaschoice asked me to share how I live the Good Fight and choose "Courage Over Comfort" 🌟 I express courage by befriending someone in need, standing up to that bully, or fighting for what I believe in. You know those moments when you want to go after those goals, but then you overwhelm yourself with thoughts and don’t know which route to take? It’s happened to me quite a lot. Being afraid to start school all over, starting fresh, being a single mom again, working on blogging, dealing with anxiety, etc. My mind was going crazy but that’s where the #courageovercomfort came in. I knew I had to be strong for not only myself but for my son. Sometimes you just have to take that leap and go for it because after all, we’re much stronger than we think. Now I’m improving and slowly but surely, reaching my goals 🙌🏼 it’s not easy, but it’s achievable and I’m damn proud of how far I’ve come and have yet to go 💪🏼 this shirt from paulaschoice gave me a good reminder to keep being optimistic throughout the obstacles 💥 #ad #ChooseTheFight #sisepuede
Courage over comfort - when I could have been in my own little world of being different but I chose to start a blog 5 years ago & share my world with you all. Who knew stepping out of my comfort zone would result in where I am today, courageous, confident, & a creative 🖤 #ChooseTheFight #Ad #Alhamdullilah paulaschoice •

I’ll never forget the time when someone in front of me at a Starbucks drive-thru paid for my order. It inspired me to pay for the person behind me. Sometimes something simple might be a courageous act of kindness to someone else. It would have been a lot more comfortable for that person to only pay for their order, or for me to just take a free grande two pump vanilla latte made with almond milk (😋) than to continue the love. But courageousness is contagious! And courage doesn’t have to always be something HUGE. Look for ways to be courageous every day. I’ve teamed up with paulaschoice to #choosethefight for courage over comfort #ad
Next Up, Products
With the ethos of Paula’s Choice firmly established, we needed to get the word out about the incredible products. We chose the launch of Paula’s Choice Omega+ Complex line as our starting point and conceptualized and produced a pop up shop for magazine editors, online editors and both macro and micro beauty influencers based in the New York area. Building off the lightweight and airy consistency of the products, we built a space staged with clouds against a sky backdrop, with multiple activations for photo and video. 175 people attended the event, which we followed up with a mailer to an additional 150 people across the country. The creative campaign results in more than 400 pieces of content reaching 32.7 million followers.
